help cant upgrade
i have the new ps2 slim. i have a mod chip inside. the screen tells me matrix v1.4. i have downloaded the firmware v 1.68 and v1.54 and both won't upgrade. the v1.54 just tells me there is a problem and the v1.68 shows programming 0% and the disc just spins and nothing happens.
i used both nero and alcohol 120% to make the cd's and nothing is working.
please help. what am i doing wrong.
you burning the cue file right?
yep, it even boots up, but just refuses to upgrade.
How fast are you burning the cdr? What brand of cdr are you using?
seen this happen before with a wrong wire placement. Try re-checking wires q,t,u,v,w,r,p,o,m,n for placement and bridging.
The only wire required for updating the chip is y and sx point.
I have the same problem!
SCPH of my console is 70008 CB - Russian Edition.
I have 1.4 firmware and can't update it to the final 1.75 version. As i said the prob is the same. What's wrong with it?
BTW how can i check if my chip is original or no - without opening the case of course.
i have the same problem, i have a ps2 slim model SCPH-70012, and i know that my mod chip is original, about the conexions, well, here in mexico they are specialist in this things, i dont think they can mistake. so, do you have any solution to this?
or is any way to watch DivX movies without upgrading?
please heeeeeeelp!!
Most of the MI clones are using the 1.4 firmware and they can't be upgraded. The only way to confirm that you have a legit original MI is to open up your machine and take a physical look at it.
well, i think my MI is original, it works perfect (except for this), and is v1.35.
