HDD enabled Infinity Manager
HDD enabled Infinity Manager –
I have a V7 PS2 with a Matrix Infinity modchip installed. Recently I have bought a network adapter and a 120GB Hitachi IDE harddrive.
What is the best way to play games stored on the hdd ?
Do you know when the new HDD enabled Infinity Manager will be released ?
Do I still need a programm like HDLoader or HD Advance ?
Thank you for your answers and recommendations in advance,
Go the the infinty site and download the dev2 program. then download the fully patched Hdloader0.7C from PS2HD.com. Use Nero or any other program and make a data disc with the dev2 files and the Hdloader elf file that you downloaded. Before burning right click the HDloader.elf and rename it to Boot.elf. you can just drag and drop the files into your burning program. When you have finished you should have these files:
Insert the cd into PS2. Click yes to install. It will ask you if you want to format the drive if its not formatted already. Once intalled reset and hold down L1 on boot up. This will take you into the hdloader browser. You can also hold down triangle and circle on boot up to enter the settings menu and choose dev2 as the boot mode. Now whenever you switch on the PS2 will go directly into HDloader. If you need to boot a disc just hold down X on boot up.
Hope this helps you out. I had a lot of problems aswell but eventually got things working using this method.
Thank you very much, idmax
Got still a question though, do you recommend using the fully patched Hdloader0.7C for transfering games to the installed and operational HDD ?
I loaded hdl .7c onto my memory card and use the MI's dev capability to simply hold r1 on boot and it takes me to HDL
I burn these files with nero and the cd dosent boot, it just goes to the memory card screen.
Any help thanks
