HDD Booting with Matrix Infinity
HDD Booting with Matrix Infinity –
04-13-2012,01:56 PM
I've just got an IDE HDD and a PS2 Network adapter for my PS2 as my laser is starting to be dodgy. I haven't updated my modchip (Matrix Infinity v1.2) since I got it I don't believe.
I would still like to be able to load PS2 games from disc, but wanted to know if the Matrix Infinity has an option to boot things from HDD without me having to go the FMCB route?
Also, if 1.2 doesn't have those features, what is the last update for the chip and where can I download it? Their website only has downloads for their newer things.

is it Genuine Matrix Infinity ? if yes then you can update if not then you cannot and if you are Modchip support Dev2 then you will be able to load any elf on the hdd if its correctly installed
but its better for you to install FMCB
and you can find all the firmwares in the download section .

Well, it updated to 1.93, so I'm guessing it's genuine. I have an ide HDD now, do I just format it normally? And what do I need to put on my HDD? I need HdlDump Helper GUI for FTPing, and the HD Loader elf, do I just put these on the root of the drive and use the Infinity's dev loading to access it?

just a brief
well i suggest you either use USB Enclosure or IDE ribbon Connect for connecting your PS2HDD to PC .
second you will need WinHIIP 1.7.6 to Format your HDD and install PS2 Games on it .
so you are gunna either use HDL or OPL to play games and i suggest you use OPL its more compatible
