Wires A,B,G,H and I unlock the DVD drive for DVD rom and CD-Rom discs in PS2 mode. check them carefully. And be sure to make them shorter than 5 CM(centimeters) if you want the chip to be stable. If the wires are too long you will have timming issues with the DVD drive patching and the PS2 will RSOD a LOT.

The pics here are for a V10 but I fit the chip on the same place on V9s.
Oh and newer M.I. chips are pretty annoying with the DVD drive patching so long wires won't do it for them, AT ALL. Old chips have no issues with the DVD drive wires, but doesn't work with newer PS2s.
