going standby after turned on; memory card not booting [PAL V10; MI green dot] –
i'm a little troubled: my ps2 v10 (pal) goes standby right after turning on (meaning only the red led of reset button is
on, everything else including screen is off/black). i can start it after pressing reset for 2 seconds without problems.
i was told this shouldn't be and this seems to be an installation mistake.
is this true? since i already brought my ps2 to the shop once (last week), when the mi "miracuously" was defect and they just put me a new one in (i only saw the first defect chip: but it really looked exactly like the one of the infinitymod-page (except for the green dot). someone told me then this must be a fake chip or bad installation.
should i leave my ps2 turned off now and search for a new pro to take out and install a new "real" one?
another problem i have is that my max memory card (16mb) just won't boot. it is said that with the new mi swap cds would be needed no more and that it would be just automatically recognized.
fact is my memory card hasn't been recognized once yet - and trying to use the old swap cd was useless, too: the screen would just go black.
can i configue which memory card to boot somewhere?
if anybody could provide me with some infos, i'd be really thankful. this whole thing is really upsetting me
(note: actual fw installed is 1.82)
