No go. Used diagrams for GH-051-02 which is very similar. Measured points and they seem to go to the correct pins on the bios.

The PS2 works fine with the chip fit in. Just the chip does nothing while the PS2 is on.

Does that mean the PS2 has a new bios in it ?

Can someone give me a idea about this ?

Did you get it fixed? Just asking since I recently modded a GH-051-12 with the GH-051-02 diagram. Are you using the old GH-051-02 diagram or the new Gh-051-02 diagram?

No it doesn't work, it was like if the chip were disabled.
The chip worked nicely in a GH-051-02. This PS2 is stored waiting for newer chips to release .... lol

And yes I used the new diagram as the old seems to be bogus.

I dunno but it might be a new bios. I think the M.I. is programmed to do nothing if it can't figure out which bios the board has. If anyone can confirm it ...

The datecode for the PS2 unit was 6C.
