At the regular 'Playstation 2' boot logo, I also see the ILOGO.BMP file (Matrix logo) and the firmware version (1.93). When booting DL media, I see a large Matrix logo without the PS2 logo or version number.

Will deleting ILOGO.BMP remove all of this? I would like to see only the 'Playstation 2' logo and nothing else when a game loads. Call me a purist.

    Thanks.

Yup, did that, but that's only for the initial boot logo when the PS2 is turned on. I'm talking about the logo that is displayed when the game starts.

I don't know if that can be done, but you can disable the playstation logo altogether by chanaging the boot from the config to Fast boot. It will bypass the ps2 screen and just load your game. Thats what i'm doing(why waste a couple of seconds waiting for the game to load).

You can remove this logo by reprogramming the chip without the ILOGO.BMP (logo) file in the same folder as the I.ELF (firmware) file. So if you're using a CD to program the firmware, you will need to re-make a new CD without the ILOGO.BMP file, or just run I.ELF by itself from your memory card with uLaunchELF or some other .ELF launching software.
