    i was wondering that too, i was using monster cable component cable never had problem with old firmware not that i know of at least

    That is not really what I asked for I think..

    I never really had problems with it, only that I did not saw a world of change with Component or RGB.

    I also use component. The new firmware is great, but cause of these changes I had to reset and reinstall all the settings I use in Dscaler (I use my pc as the monitor

    lol, I too was wondering the same thing. I have used component cables all the time for my ps2. Never had any issues, I wonder what was improved.
