I updated from 1.38 to 1.45 firmware version so that i could get DL support. when it finished installing i accidently pressed start again so it installed the firmware twice. but antyway after i resetted my ps2 after it finished installing the firmware update..the ps2 is stuck at the 'Matrix' logo screen which wasnt there until i insatlled the update ( i assume that the update contained a matrix logo). Before this i was able to Turn off my modchip by holding start >hopefuly this is a sign that its real. Anyway i was wondering if theres anything i can do to fix this? WHen i do the recovery thing it takes me to the red screen which asks for a playstation 2 format disc..i think im doing this wrong so if someone could explain how to get to the recovery thing in detail, it would be much appreciated (the bootcd is in the ps2).
I hope this isnt a clone.

well iam not sure if its Real or Clone ..usually clones stuck when you trying to update or upgrade .
yep if you can take a part and look at your modchip and see if its modbo and also campared to the real one in the matirx site
www.infinitymod.com
it might changed something in the Matrix Setting check it again by holding Triangle +Circle on the joypad..but if its clone do Not change anything ..

I thought that if it was a fake,it wouldn't be able to install the firmware in the first place?..

I also think it is a clone.
If possible, post a picture
Some clone chips can be upgraded, but it wil kill it ....

Cant take a picture of it now..Assuming that it's a clone, would i be able to use swap magic to make backup games work? or does the clone somehow screw that up since im thinking of just buying swapmagic. Also, can i remodify my ps2 with a new modchip?
anyone know a good website to buy Swap MagiC from? ( I am in canada)
