Ok so I installed everything, all the points etc. regular games work and matrix logo shows up. so i tried to burn action replay max onto a cd-r that i was able to get online.

Now it burned and i plopped it in, it showed the DATEL sign but it consistently flickers like there is no tomorrow. I'm not sure if its a bad installation, a bad copy of action replay max or what.

Since it actually did boot up would a ps2 backup game work since the action replay max kind of works (besides the flickering?)

Now I tried to also burn the firmware upgrade, but when I plopped it in, it doesn't read the cd, and doesn't upgrade.

    Woah edit........

I forced video output to NTSC and that fixed it. Well since the burned action replay max work will regular ps2 back up work? and how come I can't burn and use the firmware upgrade?

if you can't burn and upgrade that means you have a fake Matrix infinity chip usually or a bad install

well i know its not fake because I researched which sites to get, and i double checked the pictures,

So it must be a bad install, would i be able to be pointed at the right directions of which solder points need examined?

Ok weird I burned some Ps2 Backups and they all work flawlessly, yet I can't use the firmware upgrade? bleh I guess I won't need it yet since everything is working flawlessly.

try burning the firmware update @ 1-4X... that might help. I burned FFXII at 8X and it got fuxx0r3d, so try burning it at the slowest speed possible by ur burner.
