Does Matrix Infinity work with Multitap?
Does Matrix Infinity work with Multitap? –
I have a Matrix Infinity chip in my PS2 and have been thrilled with it over the last 6 months that I've had it.
Last week I bought a Sony Multitap (and a case of beer to spend a whole day jammin some NHL2006 with a few friends in town for Thanksgiving. But it would not work.
It would not see my memory in any of the slots of the Multitap, and only slot A would work for a controller.
I updated to V1.54 firmware, no change.
The problem is consistant across games.
I am using non-Sony memory (18m Max), so that could be the problem - but seems unlikely.
Does the Mutitap just flat-out not work with the Matrix Infinity? If so, is there a Multi-player adapter that does work with MI?
Thanks in Advance,
OK, now I returned the Sony Multitap and went with a "Shark multi-port Slim" which is basically the same device, but from a 3rd party...still does not work, but it's a whole different set of issues.
The PS2 will not boot with it plugged in. I have to unplug it to power on the unit and then plug it in.
Only the 1st controller will work (no others)
No audio comes from the PS2 at all when it's connected.
Won't see my memory when it's in slot A?
Anybody have any suggestions for me?
Strange. I have a also a 3rd party multitap (cant remember which brand) but I also have problems with a lot of games. In some games he does show all of the controllers, in others they don't. Maybe a region (PAL/NTSC) issue?
My (official sony) multitap doesnt works too, on myslimline ps2
tried a 3th-party multitap first (logic3), and the games didnt booted at all
now I got myself an official sony multitap, the games now boot, but the game only recognises 1 controller
so same problem as above...
I also have Matrix Infinity with 1.68 firmwire
The Multitap is: SCPH-70120 E
The Ps2 is: SCPH-75004a
The Modchip: Matrix Infinity with 1.68 FirmWare
