Dev2 install takes forever

well, I have a 300G maxtor drive (75% full) and when I exec the DEV2I.ELF file takes forever on "checking HDD", with the orange led inside and the HDD reading sound...so after an hour I've reset...nothing heppened, only BSOD in DEV2 mode...any of you can help me on this? :banghead:

Did u make a cd from files or did u just execute the elf somehow?

I've executed it via ULE without cd control, and with it (inseted an original DVD) same result
