Chip in, nothing different....
Chip in, nothing different.... –
First I have a v14 PS2 SCPH-75001 with board GH040-51; I used the install instructions for board GH040-51 v14 since they look 98% identical. Chip is installed (which I purchased from allmodchip.com) -chip is Matrix Infinity SE 1.54- The PS2 boots and runs org. games perfect, when I try to load the firmware off of a CD-R that I created it tells me "Please insert a PS2 disk", I tried three different brand CD-R's so it's not that, and I NEVER see anything boot up on the PS2 that says anything about Matrix Infinity. The chip seems to be properly soldered. I've gone back and checked about 3 times. It does get warm when I turn the PS2 on so I know it's getting power.
What in the world do I do so my system actually acts like it's been moded?
Matrix Infinity SE is not a real matrix infinity it is a clone/fake matrix infinity and can not be upgraded or change configuration settings or it will kill the chip
Even if its a clone and you installed correctly you should be able to get to the config menu by hitting Triangle and Zero on bootup. Mind you if this happens dont change any settings or the chip will be useless. But its a good test to see if its installed correctly.
