I placed the MI as close to the 3.3V & GND as possible. Thats closely on the left from the number 4 spot of the V14-diagram. I used some anti-static foil to put on top of the chip. Electrical tape will do also. You have to prevent shortages when you put the metal casing back.

On the v14 i have i have to place the chip on top some resistors or diodes they are the small black blocks with contacts either end as there is no space big enough on the board to attach to without doing this, this then causes the case to fit very tightly which is what i think my problem is. Would it be ok to insulate the chip and gently screw the case up but not to tight or does anybody have anyother suggestions where to place it or anything ??

Hmm... this could be my problem...
I tried to install a Matrix Infinity in my V9, now all I have is a black screen. I need to check the soldering and insulation, I guess... So bloomin' tedious, getting this stuff right! Well, trying.
