    Just wondering if there's a brand of CD-RW that'll work with PS2's?, all the one's I've tried don't.

    Any Rw shuld work. Ive used liteon and verb's no problem yet ... did you install install all wires as some systems requre 1 extra wire for rw suport??

    I have a SCPH-39002 PAL PS2 does anyone know if this model needs the extra wire?. And if it does, which wire and where does it connect to?. Any help is appreciated.

    Ah, found out it is the "F" wire for DVD-RW support. For anyone who's curious here's the webpage with instruction pics. It's in Portuguese though.

    They're under "Pronto F (DVD-RW)*" in "Ver Esquema" and it's for PS2 versions 5,7,8,9 & 10.

    Do not use cd-rw or dvd-rw its very stressful on the laser
    retired
