I recently installed a matrix infinity chip in a brand new silver v15 scph-77001. When it boots up, the splash says that it is running firmware v. 1.88. When I insert the 1.91 boot cd, it boots up, but after I press start, it shows 0% for a few seconds then says "programming failed." I've tried this with my memory card in and out, and neither works. When I boot up in the configuration thing, I can't turn off the logo. Is that normal?

All other functions are working on the system. Homebrew, imports, and backups are all running as well as ps1 backups and original ps1 discs. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Is there any way to tell if it's a clone without opening it up?
