can't play "shadow of the colossus"

hi, i have a modded-PS2(PAL) and am using an NTSC tv. the game i'm trying to play is an NTSC version, and when i boot up the ps2, it goes up to the ps2 logo screen, but then it suddenly just blacks out and goes back to "INPUT-3" display which is just the default display when nothing is connected to the tv.. anyone have an idea on what the problem might be?

Sorry for the late reply.
Turn off the video fix and the game will run.
You will have to play it in NTSC, man. Sorry
