Hi guys, i'm new to modding but i've just modded my slim PS2, it worked first time but i have a few problems with it:

I can't play PSX games (copies, i have no originals to try), and nothing happens when i try and press/hold O at boot to force PS1 mode. (or am i doing that wrong) The chip works fine with all the other functions, as in i can get into the setup mode, disable the chip etc (these are the only two things i've tried). It's just i can't play the PSX games, i wait got the screen to appear saying Browser, Configuration, i put the game in, it starts to load then a screen flashes up saying "no data" (similar to the browser screen) and then the red cube screen comes up saying insert playstation 2 bla bla bla game?

Also, whenever there is a CD/DVD in the drive and i switch on the console the matix won't boot, it'll stick at the logo screen and won't move on from there, this happens 100% of the time, i always have to switch on without a CD/DVD in the drive, wait for the logo to dissapear and then insert the CD.
Any help would be much appreciated, i could also do with an explination of what each of the wires connected to the MI does if anyone has a pic/link!
