Cant play another region DVDs

Hi folks!

I have 77001 slim PS2 installed matrix infinity that fw is 1.93(latest one).On configuration menu I set it as region 2 then saved it.When I try to play region 2 DVDs it says "TV system doesnt match".Only region 1 and region free DVDs playable.I think chip is not crack region code.I tried to flash again(I think maybe fw crashed) but it doesnt flash.I tried to boot via GameShark 2 v4 but DVDs dont boot.Games are playable perfectly.What I have to do?

Hi. I am having the same problem. I am in Korea and just got the chip for Matrix Infinity v1.99 installed. I went to the menu to change the DVD reigon to 3 so I can watch Korean DVD's. It does not boot the DVD. I tried all the reigon settings. NO LUCK. I can play copied DVD's no problem and US DVD's no problem. What the hell!? What times we live in where you can play a copied DVD but you can't play a real one, huh? If someone can help, please! Thank you for reading my rant.

I opened PS2 and saw chip isnt Matrix infinity.Its modbo 750 v 1.93. Y and SX wires dont soldered.Maybe for that reason cant play other region DVDs.Any idea?
