*This issue was solved. Thanks HomerX

    I have a V14 PS2 slim w/ Matrix Infinity chip FW 1.68

    The boot sequence is
    1) Matrix Logo
    2) Sony Computer Entertainment "Floating cubes"
    3) Playstation 2 w/ Infinity Logo beneath
    4) Game loads

Pressing circle and triangle together during any part of the sequence does not get the configuration menu to load. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Push circle and triangle and hold them, then power on the console while still pressing the buttons. Pressing them during one of your sequences is too late.

    This worked, thank you.

The instructions with the 1.68 Firmware is misleading: "Press TRIANGLE + CIRCLE to enter the configuration menu."
