    Hello,

I've installed a Matrix Infinity 1.93 Modchip in my PS2 v7 PAL console, done all the soldering, and seems ok. Infinity menu works correctly, and it shows a logo at startup, but only DVD movie copied discs work, PS2 games or Infinity firmware CD are not working. It shows a "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc". Tried with Infinity firmware update burned to a Verbatim CD-R with Alchol 120%, mode PS2 at 10x and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 copy burned to a Verbatim DVD-R. Original PS2 games work without problems.

Anyone knows in which soldering points I might have done a bad connection?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Check the a, b, i & g wire. I had the same problem. I misplaced the I-wire. When fixed it booted just fine. (I also only had the bootscreen and menu)

Checked the soldering points of A,B,I on the modchip and added some tin solder, also shortened the I cable, it was way too long. Now it works correctly, thanks for the advice!
