Hello
I have a slim V12 with MI 1.58, I use Nero 7.0 with Ritek / Arita DVD-R,
What speed should I burn them, I used to use 2X but they are too slow, tried a couple with 4X and seem OK, any advise would be nice
TIA

I copy my backups at 4x and they always work fine.
Thanks for the info
No problemThanks for the info![]()
I guess there are people still refer to buen them at 2X, Oh well I don't play them at much, so hope my laser won't burn as fast as I think
Thanks
Trust me I had my ps2 for 2-3 years now (v5 ps2) and it still works great I always burned my games at 4x
i alway burn the game on to 6x it alway work fine
Burnspeeds depends on several points
brand of the Dvd recorder
brand of the media
2x speed burning is something of the old days
now most burners are supporting 16x speed and more
when those burners are forced to burn on 2x times mostly they start to make mistakes in the backup because they are not designed to burn that slow
in my own experience 8 speed is oke in combination with Ritek G05 media and a Nec 35xx burner
another point what is pretty important when you burn on high speed is to close all Programs Like torrentclients,
this programs slowdown your harddrive and your buffer of burner goes up dan down when your buffer is down your burner wait a few seconds till the buffer is filled and then goes futher to burn ,
the moment the burner stops it burns a little worm inside the disk that can create read errors in your ps2
hopefully you understand this because my english is Terrible
grtz
MABCOM
you make a valid point it does depend on the media and burner i have the nec 3500 with the latest fimrware and burn from 4-6x and they come out fine. but i would never try that on a I/o magic burner it could barely copy at 4x.
