    I have a Pal V9 PS2 with a Matrix Infinity installed in September 2004.

I've found a bug in the 1.68 firmware: the firmware is well installed, but I cannot save my settings for the Infinity. When I press start to save the settings, nothing happens - and after that, I have always the default settings.

When I go back to the 1.54 firmware, my settings are saved perfectly.

This bug remains in the 1.75 firmware.

I don't like when a new version of a software does not correct the bugs of the prior version. I've choosed the Infinity mainly because of his reliability. Perhaps I'm wrong...

Have you reported it to them via info@infinitymod.com ?

It sounds like you've found a small bug that prehaps they don't know about.

Saving settings works fine with my v12
I have no idea what color my chip is though, so I'm not much help in narrowing down the problem.

There is a batch off the blue (if i'm right) dot version that haves a problem with the eeprom (bug). I had some off those chip's at that time and they had fix it on firmware ( i don't know the release anymore).

Maybe they have just forgot to add this also on those new firmwares???

I would say mail the matrix team about it.

I've received an answer from the Infinity people. I'm not alone with this bug. But they are unable to reproduce it on their machines, and they want a good quality picture of my Infinity, to know the date of production.

That's a problem for me: I never opened my PS2, and I don't trust my hands...

Day need the production date off the chip so they can test overthere with a some chip from the same batch. They keep a few of every batch so they can test with it as it is needed. (this is the same a me before)
