black screen problem

Ok got a mtrix infinty come back to me boots to a black screen, nothing shows when u power up ps2 straight to black screen,

Replaced with another matrix using same wiring and that boots fine.
So whats goin on with this chip, any ideas.
yes its an orginal chip checked that for sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

Same exact thing happened to me, immediate black screen. I had to flash the chip. I used version 1.75 from Matrix Team's website, make sure you burn to CD at a slow speed. I was burning at 48x and it would never work until I burned at 8x then it worked great. Give that a try.

If it doesn't want to go to the upgrade menu with the CD in place and black screen remains, you may have to press and hold the RESET button for 3 to 4 seconds at startup.
