Since a couple of days, I can't use my ps2 anymore. When I start the PS2, the only thing that my get is a black screen. Couple of facts:

    1) I do not have a clone of the Matrix Infinity modchip
    2) I'm 100% sure my PS2 outputs not nothing, but does output a black screen. My TV will go automaticly turn blue if he doen't receive anything. And when I start my PS2 up, you see it switching from the blue screen to the black.
    3) I've tryed a composite, s-video, rgb AND a component cable. Nothing works, same black screen. Component option was turned on
    4) I can't even see my Matrix logo at the very start of the beginning
    5) Sometimes I can hear that the PS2 tryed to start the HDD
    6) I've already opened the PS2 to see if there could be a wire loose, but that was not the case
    7) My PS7? is broken. The fuse for the vibration of your controllers. Don't know if it has anything to do with this but just to let you know.
    8) I have a V9 Pal PS2

    Does somebody know's the anwser?

@Netmech, haven't got the equipment at the moment, so I was saving that solution to the last (hope it isn't broken)
@muppet, yeah, I'm sure. I have tryed that one a month ago. Still got screen but it was ****ed up. So I changed it back to "color"

    @BigMichiel:

Did you try to boot your PS2, when the MI is turned of?
Did you try, if the connections for V/A on the backside of PS2 have (full) contact?
Did you try to reflash your MI in Flash-Mode.
Did you try to boot your PS2 with turned on MI, but with standart-Configuration?

My PS2 only outputs a black screen, and nothing more. And since my tv turns blue if the connection is not present, or too bad, I am sure that my PS2 sends out the black screen

I tryed three different cables and 2 different tv's. I double checked the connections and I still have that problems

But thnx for thinking with me

Check your BIOS wires. Most likely one came off or something is bridging the pins.

This will probaly sound stupid in your ears and by now you will have that famous: "what a dummy" look on your face

But where is the bios located on the mainboard?

    EDIT:

Yeej! I have my picture back

I opened the ps2 (against my own will, but I was desperate:P). I doublechecked every wire of the infinitychip, and the a/v connection of the ps2 etc. Everythink looked alright.

My PS2 is still open, I just have to close it again and I'm ready to play.

Still, thnx for all of the help

I mean,... Maybe there is a bad contact INSIDE your PS2 (@the A/V-Output).

Maybe there is just one bad connection at the A/V (internaly).

    That´s what I mean.

I tryed three different cables and 2 different tv's. I double checked the connections and I still have that problems

But thnx for thinking with me

But now it work´s, that´s it, which counts.

You should answer Netmech's question once you get that multimeter.
