Thats an original Eddie
Actually I have installed this one:Originally Posted by gameplaya376

In my mates V7 39004 GH-022 PS-2, it works perfectly so far and only costs 10Euros.
So, what is the problem exactly?

It looks fake...
Yes!
I know it's a clone but it works perfectly and "gameplaya376" in his original post mentioned that it works: "like crap." as he said...
So I would like to know what's wrong with it exactly, before I buy a 2nd one.
It's cheap, only 10Euros, so paying 50$ for the original Matrix, which works exactly the same, is not exactly cost effective.
Thanks.
nothing is really wrong with clones accect upgrading a clone is not recommended and changing the config menu settings will ruin the firmware and chip. here is the link to there webpage for this particular clone. it is interesting that even there webpage appears to be a clone of the old offical matrix page.

Will this chip work on the latest V14-V16 75004CB GH-040-02 / 12 Slim PS-2?
Here:
http://matrixmod.com/prod-ps2/1011/111.htm
It has the diagrams up to V12 (Which are the same as the official Matrix Diagrams), but not the V14-V16 Slim models.
When I boot a game on my mates V7 PS-2, with this Matrix Infinity 5E DNS 1011 Clone installed, under the "PlayStation2" logo it says: "Infinity 1.4"
I want to know before I buy another one and install it in my V14-V16 75004CB Slim PS-2
Thanks in advance.
no, it won't work on the v14.
You have tried it I presume?
How do you know?
Thanks?
ok, first of all offical support for the v14 units were not implimented until firmware v1.68. second the matrix team created a whole new chip (green dot) to allow compatiblity with the v14.
no, I have not tried it I don't deal with clones; I just know.
Yes, I see. You make a good argument there.
Pity as it's a very cheap choice.
I guess I'll have to wait for the updated clone then, wont I?
I'll ask my provider on the subject.
Thanks for the info!
Much appreciated.
