Hey. I've attached an image of the chip currently in my PSTwo (SCPH-90004) and would be grateful if anyone could help me identify it. Thanks in advance.
That right there is a total fake! Look up a few posts as a pic of the real matrix has been posted.
That looks like a Matrix II
I have not seen that one myself. Just another MI rip off I am guessing.
A friend of me give me his PS2 to clean it from dust. I open it and I see the mod-chip was not the original Matrix.
Instead, it has a Modbo Ver3.
The question is as follows :
Is it a real Matrix? The logo and the menu displayed OK. The menu settings can be changed, without "locking" the chip. (Good clone? or real Matrix?)
The Action Replay MAX (EVO & 10) does not load the game.
DVD9 games doesn't work either.
Before I make him his date, I want to be sure.
Photo as follows from a site. It is the same.
No. Don't look at the site. Only the modchip.
The installation was horrible though. With cables in the air and no cable length optimization at all.
I'm hunger for a answer.
Thanks in advance...
Short answer:
Since it's a 'modbo' then it's definitely a clone, because all such chips are clones.
But recent clones can save settings like the original, without dying like the old clones did.
Best regards: dlanor
To be precise, Modbo 4.0, Modbo 745, and Modbo 760 mod chips can have their config menus accessed and saved with no issues. The rest of the matrix clones, I'm not sure on.
and danor, you feeling OK? Short answer!![]()

Ok friends...
Thanks for your answers.
Well....
Only a Matrix is a Matrix. (Enter the matrix Neo)![]()
Going down the rabbit hole I see.![]()
wich Modbo clone would be better to use?...i have a SCPH-50004
I installed a modbo 4.0 in a ps2 v14.
Worked perfect first time..
But I got some sort of glitches in the screen..
I reset the ps2 and then I got no screen!
Now I have removed the chip, cleaned all the solder from the points to make sure I didn't bridge anything.
And I still have the same damn problem!!
What could this be?
