neo_nihilist , The modbo750 will play psx , Just make sure you haven't changed the "boot mode" in the configurations menu to "fast". This is for ps2 games only. When set to "fast" you wont be able to play movies or ps1 games. Change it back to "auto". Also it wont give you the playstation splash screen , but wait 10 sec or so and it will play.
i bought a matrix chip it has the actel name on it n everything but it has a blue dot i did my research but did not find a blue dot chip could it be a clone?

From standby hold Triangle and Circle, then tap reset to turn on the PS2. Keep holding until you see the MI's config menu appears. If you see the menu then most likely your bios points are correct and you would need to focus on the CDVD points. Also did this console boot originals good before you installed the chip?Quote:
