    Hi,

I've attempted my own ps2 mod with matrix infinty green dot.
    V3 uk pal console.

I was in fear of screwing up so bought a second had console from ebay to attempt my first mod.

    I'm glad I did now!

I almost got the thing to work but it was erratic.

Took it apart again and found a dry joint marked lead 'B' on the v3 diagram.

Used a wrist earthing strap so as not to fry the MB with static.

Took a couple of goes to solder the thing properly and when I attempted to start the console I had no video.

Leds come on as per normal and dvd tray opens and closes, however absolutely no audio or video. More specifically my sony tv was previously detecting that the connected ps2 was throwing out an SVideo signal, even when only outputting a black screen. Now it doesn't detect a thing, the ps2 output is dead.

Thinking that the thing is fooked I've unsoldered the offending wires for that chip and used desolder braid to remove any excess solder from those pads, still doesn't work.

Out of desperation have now unsoldered all connections from the infinity so it is effectively unconnected, still no result.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remedy this please ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Pete.

check again with a maginfy glass you could have bridged some points or over heated some contacts.
I thought saving 15% on my car insurance was good but having my ps2 modded by N£TM£ÇH was way better!
