1. Press triangle + circle on startup.
2. You need to burn a cd with infinity manager on it and install it to your memory card.
3. It should be displayed when you boot a PS2 game.
If by Conifguration menu you mean the menu that accesses the PAL/NTSC Options, The Fixes and Patches, etc. hold the triangle and circle buttons when you reboot to access it. As for telling what firmware you have, it shoulda say when you boot the machine at the Playstation 2 screen under it should say infinity v... or something along those lines.
I hope this helped.
thanks for the info, i just found out that my firmware is 1.33.
do i have to install every upgrade up to the new 1.88 firmware, or can i just install the new 1.88?
thanks again.
You might have a clone. I don't remember Matrix Team having a chip with stock 1.33 firmware.
can i install the newest firmware?
the chip is the exact one that they show on the site.
NOTE** i also bought my chip about 1 year and a half ago.
Yes you can. Just burn v1.88 to a cd, insert and follow instructions. I guess the Matrix Team did release Infinities with v1.33
thanks, will the 1.88 update install the infinity manager also?
Infinity Manager is not on that v1.88 firmware disc. You need to burn a seperate disc for Infinity Manager.
where can i download infinity manager from?
