I recently modded my v3 with an MI chip yet i experienced severe problems with the crippling MI "sleep" bug and eventually, through trying different firmwares, the chip would no longer load so i trashed it. After removing the chip the ps2 still works fine and I got a 2nd MI chip which I plan on installing on the same ps2 console. Was the bug issue more a chip issue or something with my specific console? I also want to know if it matters when i upgrade the MI firmware after chip installation, b/c if it matters I previously installed FW 1.93 before attempting uLE or HDL. Thanks.
