Has your HDD its own power supply or it is by USB? Maybe that's the reason for not working, since one PS2 USB port provides only about 0,5 Amperes and some HDDs demand more than this.

Over USB, only FAT32 is accept, nothing else. Try USB Extreme software to format to FAT32.

I've already tested an 1 Terabyte HDD along with OPL and other PS2 homebrews and it does work.

I hope that you really didn't mean that you actually used USBExtreme to play your Playstation 2 games!

If you are going to use USB devices to play your games, you might also want to try out PS2ESDL: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f253/pla...ps2esdl-63375/ (Playstation 2 External Storage Device games Loader (PS2ESDL))

It's another Playstation 2 game loader like OPL and USBExtreme/USBAdvance, but is tuned for USB device support. Game performance and compatibility has been reported to be slightly better with it.

Some incompatible USB devices have also been reported to work too, but there is still a handful of devices that cannot be detected.
