Do those games exist on your disk as contiguous files (No file fragmentation)?
If you're unsure of what is a good disk defragmentation utility, I would recommend you to use the Auslogics Disk Defragmenter since it has a graphical representation of the disks that it defragments.

If you're using a USB disk, you might want to try PS2ESDL since it might be able to help you with getting around any freezes in GOW2 that might be related to slow data transfers.

If it still freezes, then it's either because your games are somehow damaged (Either as a result of an installation based on a bad dump of the disc, or the game was damaged), or the games simply don't work well on the current USB-device game loaders.

Auslogics Disk Defragmenter: Disk Defrag - Fast and Safe Defragmenter for Your Disks

Just remember to make sure that no fragmented regions (red squares) still exist even after defragmenting your disk.

PS2ESDL is a USB-device only Playstation 2 game loader that is tuned towards the slow data transfer rates of the USB 1.1 ports: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f150/pla...hlight=PS2ESDL

I have both of these games (original of ourse).
My original GoW2-Disc is a DVD9, so I assume yours is a bad rip/DL from the internet/... or you have an issue with your setup (like SP193 said, fragmented files could be the issue when using a USB-Harddrive).

I an assure you, that 'all of Duty 3' is running flawlessly with OPL 0.7 (Release-Version).
I played this game from beginning to the end and watched all movies.
I played the game from SMB and HDD and no-where did this problem occur to me.

Both these game hang in between movies!!!

help plz as both of game is compatible with opl.7 i m using usb hdd
CoD3 is definetly compatible to OPL 0.7.
Re-Rip your games to an ISO (from disc) and ry it again.

Edit: Just recognized, that you're using USB-HDD.
Well, then the video-bitrate could be too high and therefore the game might crash.

Thanks for testing it for me.
Key point of this post: You only need to ensure that there are no red squares left.

If there are red squares, just keep deleting/removing files (Or remove some of your games) until the disk defragmenter can defragment your disk properly.

You could also try clicking on the "Defrag and Optimize" button instead, but it doesn't meant that you don't have to make more space on your disk if it still fails to defragment your disk totally.

PS: About your problem ejecting your disk:

Close all programs that might be accessing your disk.
If there are no programs that are accessing your disk (And you still can't eject the disk), kill explorer.exe in the process list in the task manager (Accessed via holding CTRL+ALT+DEL) and eject your disk (You might want to bring up the window that lists ejectable disks first).
