where can i download hdloader or hd advance, i wanna try it on my ps2 slim. does it realy play games on hd instead of using disc?
First off, those programs are commercial, and it's against the rules of this site to post attachments or even links leading to them. It's also against those rules (you skipped reading them, huh ?) to even ask for such links here.Originally Posted by skywalker
Also, the two programs you mention, HDLoader (the original) and HDAdvance (a rip-off clone) are not useful for a USB connected HD, which is what this subforum deals with. They are for IDE connected HD, which is dealt with in another subforum.
Here, for USB connected HD, the two main programs of interest are USBExtreme (the original) and USBAdvance (a rip-off clone).
All four of the programs mentioned do run games off the HDD (that's their whole point of existing), but the compatibility differs widely. The USB variants are compatible with less than 20% of all games, whereas the IDE variants are compatible with over 80% of all games (these are very rough estimates).

Hi there!
I've connected the USB HDD (via an USB rack), have it formatted using the NTFS partition, copied over some files and games, but when i connect it to the ps2 (version 9, using messiah chip), i hear a little buzzing sound from the speakers (like if the "ground" were missing, leading to an 50hz buzz), and it surely affects the screen too (for example, when it's plugged into the USB slot of the ps2, the bottom-right corner of the Browser goes a little bit dark). I know, that reading this you'd say: sack the rack, it's electronically jammed. But here goes the fun part: connected to a PC (tried on several, distinct pcs) it works like a charm. Any suggestions?
You were double-posting that help request. That is not something you should do here, even if you feel desperate, at least not without giving users a chance to reply to your first post.Originally Posted by Margil
Oh, and the solution to your problem is simply to use the correct partition type, which is FAT32, not NTFS.

q. Is USBExtreme a better choice?? then swap magic
Man and this runs ???hmm.. well i got another way of using that USB Advance Crack with "Swap Magic 3.6"
make a folder on your USB HD and name it "SWAPMAGIC" (without quotes)
use to Usbadvn.elf and change the file name to SMBOOT0.ELF put it in your USB hard disk in the "Swapmagic" folder
now put the USB HD on your PS2 USB port and power up
load swapmagic 3.6, on the menu hold D-pad "UP" and push "L1"
That means u have to dl the usb advance cracked package, rename that one file into SMBOOT0.ELF, copy that onto the usb hdd filder called Swapmagic, put the usb hdd into ps2, hold that keys onto the ps2 menu.. and than usbextreme/Advance is loaded ?????????????![]()
that would be very great
when i am wrong please correct me guys
Here you I attach Swap Magic's manual 3.6.
SM3.6 it has support USB.
