you are missing the point of using usbadvance/usbextreme
USBAdvance/USBExtreme : use for USB HDD (External HDD)
HDA/HDL :uses for Internal HDD
so you cannot use winHIIP to format the hdd to use for usbdvacen/usbexterem
here is a guide for usbadvance/usbextreme :
Can i get in to the usb hdd and launch usbadvance ?? i can't burn it out
yes but you still need to burn uLaunchELF and why you cannot burn it out ?
I have vista and i cannot get it to work... it worked with winxp
and in LaunchELF i can't get in contact with the usb hdd
EDIT: i have firmware 32 in maybe i should update to 34 v2 ??
what do you mean you cannot burn with vista ?
all the games, apps i burn out with vista installed on my pc they don't work but then i install winxp it work... maybe nero isn't so good in vista
i dont use Vista ..but use the latest Nero 8
use at lower speed always ..
same here... –
same problem to me.., can't see my 80gb usb drive on ulaunchelf or in usbadvance....., by the way what is bm2.0..???
"Can't see" is not a suficient description of exactly what you have tried to do...

Be aware that uLaunchELF (aka: "uLE") is not able to show a normal HDD directory unless the disk has been formatted with the PS2 specific APA partition system. The only part of uLE that can recognize (and format) a 'raw' disk is the subprogram "MISC/HddManager".
That is a BootManager specific to the crystal mod chip, so if you don't have such a chip you can't use it.
, by the way what is bm2.0..???
