    Hi,

i have a problem with my new USB HDD. It's a 2,5" Sata HDD (LC-PRO-25BU) which is USB 1.1 compatible.

When i browse with Ulaunchelf 4.42a i can see all files and folders on the HDD. I can even launch applications from it (SMS, SNES, PGEN...), but when i want to load a ROM or Movie it does
not find the HDD. When i unplug the HDD and instert it when i'm in OPEN PS2 LOADER 0.8 or PS2ESDL it even shows me the games but i can't launch them (ESDL --> Black screen/ OPENPS2LOADER
crashes at second debug color yellow/organge)

I tried to format the HDD with different FAT32 cluster size, made a small 180GB Partition (Primary) and i used custom USBD(SVN1494) & USBHDFSD(SVN1534). My 2GB USB stick with
"Contra - Shattrered Soldier" works perfect.
It's so strange that my Playstation 2 finds the USB HDD but in the applications i can't load anything.

    What am i doing wrong?

    you're not doing anything wrong.
it can only use a tool, to check the integrity of your HDD sectors. or it may be your usb drawer.

do the following (this is kind of silly, but it worth trying):
it is possible to put this HDD in PC (try the sata cable and also for the USB) and try to play over the network.
then we will know if the problem is with the HDD or USB drawer.

@OP: When PS2ESDL doesn't seem to be doing anything, unplug and re-connect your USB device. If that causes further activity, do that whenever the console seems to be waiting for something (E.g. nothing seems to be loading but the game has not loaded up yet).

There are some USB enclosures like that, and it basically means that your enclosure might not be compatible with the way PS2ESDL and OPL handles it.
(All my enclosures were like that, but they did work with PS2ESDL at least)
