usb HDD not shown on ps2 slim

i am using WD 160 gb sata harddrive in usb 2.0 case to play games on ps2 but when i power off and turn on my ps2 the HDD works fine but when i reset to play another game it won't show any games but again when i power off and turn on my ps2 the HDD works fine.

i am usin opl 0.8.

I'm thinking your WD drive is going into sleep mode. This used to happen w/ my usb hdd on a Wii softmod. Did it come with WD essentials of any kind? Hook it up to your PC and use the WD software to check out the settings on the hdd and change the sleep timer to never.

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the USB disk when the game list doesn't load?
