USB Based OS –
So my friend has an Xbox (booooo!!!) and he's got Xbox media center up and running on it, complete with skins and what not. He can watch movies on it, use it to access shoutcast streams and play games. I was wondering - is there anything like that for the PS2 slim? I don't particularly want to get it modified due to the problems I've heard about the laser's getting all messed up.
I've attempted to use MyPS2 (which didn't work) as well as SMS media player and neither work. At this point I'd be happy to use uLaunchELF to load up a specific program (ie one for games, another to play video's) but all I really want is to be able to use my slim PS2 and an external USB HD to play video files (DivX's and AVI's).
Any ideas people?
I have no idea, why your SMS and MyPS2 was not working. I'm using both of them succesfull without any problems. I have PStwo + External HDD USB 250Gb (WesternDigital). One partition for USBeXtreme and second partytion fof PC/PStwo ELFs usage - works perfect but you have to find proper version of usbd.irx lib to work with your USB device.
No chance you could post the working files up here in RAR or ZIP format so I could stick them on my ps2?
