usb advanced wont boot

I downloaded usb advanced and I burned the cd image multiple times but no luck. It starts to boot up like normal I get the Playstation 2 splash screen (In this case the myth chip splash) and then you hear the laser starting to read like normal but all I get is a black screen. Ive used the media type on other elf files with this one being the only one thats failed to boot. I even burnt it to a dvd-r and ftp it to my mem card but i get nothing. I know I should a xcm connect or hdcombo but i wanna see this first. Does anyone have any answers.

I've read that the Myth chip is supposed to start with Macrovision fix OFF by default, but this sounds exactly like the problem you get with an MI chip (or other clones of it) when macrovision fix is ON.

Are you sure that the chip disables the macrovision fix properly ?
(Personally I doubt it. I have no faith at all in any clone chips.)

Note that you should see the USBAdvance screen even if your USB device is not supported by the drivers, or you forgot to insert it, so a black screen normally means either that the disc is unbootable (which doesn't seem to apply here), or that the macrovision fix is freezing USBAdvance.

Thx for the response thought i never get one. I think it is the macrovision but now I need to figure out how to turn it off.

ok I held start and it disabled the chip and then i used swap magic to boot the cdr. It works but thats not how i want to access usbadvance plus usbadvanced doesn't recognize my ide to usb connector. Do you have to have a usb enclosure? or straight usb hd?

I have a PS2 slimline and a 160GB usb HDD, i downloaded USBEXTREME.EXE and i managed to copy "50 cent - BULLETPROOF" onto the usb harddrive. I dont have any mod chips nor do i wanna open up the ps2 and install anything.

Is there anyway I can get my ps2 to read my HDD usb???? I'm such a noob!! whats an elf???

Ok ive gotten it to boot on my v13 with a myth 101 lite I just needed the macrovision off but now I cant get the hd formatted. It was formated before for hdloader. Anybody?
