Question about USB HDD formatting

question:
does anyone know if i could just partition the external hard drive with partition magic, and only format one of the partitions with "ul_format" for usb-extreme? i have *sorta* huge important data on the drive (backup drive) so it would be nice if i could interchange the use between the ps2 and pc and have 2 working partitions. thanks

yep, this usually works fine. I have a 80gig usb hd, with a 30gig ntfs part, and the rest is for the ps2, and it works fine.
