I have a v14 slim console. I want to use a USB hard drive to put...whatever on there. I've seen these external enclosures that hold 2.5" (laptop) hard drives, and they claim to run just on bus power, so I don't need an extra power cord or anything. Has anyone tried one of these to know if the PSTwo can supply enough power? I'd rather know if it works or not before spending the money. Thoughts?

Notebook 2,5' harddisk useually require 500mA which is the current limit
    of the usb bus.
My 2,5' harddisk runs without external power supply and is working
    with the PSTwo.

    Cheers,

You have to try it out.
If the drive requires only 500mA it should work.
If it needs more power I won't try it.
