PS2 Slim + USBAdvance + Matrix Infinity

Hi all,

I'm new here but covering a topic I can't get my head round...!!

I have a PS2 silver Slim + Matrix Infinity chip 1.38 ( hopefully not a fake one).
I want to use USBAdvance ps2Scence copy.

I cut it to a CD, when I load it, it has the black screen. I turned off macro only on the chip. red screen on all back-ups but would see gen ps2 games.

Chip works fine on backup after cold restart.

Q's,,
1/ Can u start USBAdvance & see it working without a usb connected ?
so I can know the cd is working.

2/ How do I tell if my Matrix Infinity 1.38 it the real chip & not some clone ?

3/ Would it work if the Matrix Infinity 1.38 chip is flash up to 1.39 If its a real chip.?

4/ If I have to take ps2 apart is there a site with follow throught pics..?

5/ What am I doing wrong..!!!!

I've opened it up & found out its a modbo v1.1 chip...

Could this be the problem ??

YeaH ThaTz A FaKe OnE(Modbo)...BuT AfTer U CaN RuN USB Advance and Ur BaCkUp on Ur HDD, It sHouLdnT be A PrOblEm RiGhT?....
