ps2 hdd newbie.

i have a modded ps2, a 8mb memory card , a western digital 320gb external drive.

where will i start?, i want my games to be transfered to my hd and play via usb.

first need to format your HDD, formatted complatible the PS2, for it can use USBExtreme.

Open the application, USBExtreme for PC and connect the HDD to the PC. In the application, in paragraph Hard Drive select the letter corresponding to the HDD, and then click Format. Well format the disk and create a partition.

Then returns to the Games tab and put a Install CD / DVD in the player's PC. Select the letter of the reader, fill the other fields as you like and hit install.


to play from USB, you need arracanr somehow Loader program or USBAdvance Open PS2 in your PS2. You can use different methods:

- If you have a modchip, simplelmente record the program on the CD and run it on the PS2.
- If you have Swap Magic, record the program on a cd and load it with swap magic, your games will come out of USB hdd.
- You can create one menor32 a PS2 memory card and be able to launch the program.
- If you installed it FreeMCBoot run the program under way or another ulauncher

If your PS2 is FMCB-Compatible, I suggest you to simply install the FMCB-Nooby-Package...

I have burned it to cd,but my ps2 writes that nothing can be read from this cd,I have matrix infinity 1.93

For the matrix utility the PS2 says the same thing,what am I doing wrong

you have burned what to a CD ? and how did you burned and by which App ?

I have burned the usbadvance (.cue & .bin file),and the matrix infinity iso file,but the PS2 writes down "This disk can not be opened" (or somthing similar), and the freemcboot noob files.

I burned it with poweriso,nero (I spend 10 CD-s and 4 DVD-s) but with no results.

Hdd is formated to FAT32,and i have tryed to format it with winhiip,who is telling me (when the hdd is connected wia usb) that there is no PS2 disk,but when i connect it with ide cable it finds it perfectly

How can I write from CD to memory card,mayby will this work.

why do you burn USBA ? there is a new one called OPL and i suggest you to take a look at FMCB first :

OK,i have read it but how to burn a CD that will start installing Freemcboot,i have burned the noob package,but the ps2 will not start the cd,what am I doing wrong ???

There is no explanation of how to install freemcboot to my memory card ...

after you successfully burned the ISO and your PS2 lunched now attach the USB Drive with Fat32 formatted include the Noobie Package you can now use uLE to install FMCB.
