Pretty straightforward I guess, but, I just got my copy of usbextreme v1.0
have formatted my usb hdd & have copied burnout3 takedown to the drive. When starting my PS2 everything boots up OK & can see the game directory on the left side of the screen. Problem is when I select the game, the RS2 just hangs, tv screen goes blank & nowt happens !

Advice for a new user please

Yeah, got the disk from my mate & he has it running on his HDD, so I guess it's OK.
I got about 25 games from him, which I copied direct to my HDD, but none of these are workin & they all work on his OK?
So I copied this one from the disk direct to my HDD but I got the same result.
I can see all the games but none of them will start?

Don't understand your response.... I thought the whole purpose of usbextreme was that u didn't need a mod chip?
I don't have one, neither does my mate & his PS2 is workin OK with usbextreme.
I need some assistance wiith setup of Hard drive or doesn't this forum provide such mundane information

Try your mates hdd - at least then you wil know if it's a hdd or PS2 problem.

Compatability is poor though - I've got about 55% working over maybe 60 games.
