I have a sch 70012 slim ps2 and I have an external 160 hd I can use with it, It was formated to ntfs when I bought it and I have some stuff on it, but I need to know how I can use it to play back up games, and what programs I need. I read a tutorial on some website but I don't really understand it. I am very computer literate, and I have or I can get access to any program I need. I have usb extremme, swap magic 3.6, and usb advance, I burned them all on separate discs but my ps2 says I need to insert a ps disc. I don't have a mod chip in it and I don't know what version it is (eg. v11, v12.....) Please help!!!

well PS2 cannot read backup disk by its own you need a method to do that by Swap Magic or modchip ...
and you know playing games from USB HDD its sucks many games doesnot work and some of them are slow for running and others are working fine ..
if you have version 12 or 13 its best you get hdcombo ..www.hdcombo.com
but if you are gunna to play backup games from CD/DVD you need a modchip or swap magic ..but its better you get a modchip .
