How to start USBeXtreme or something else on PS2 V.16 (SLIM)?

Hi @ all,

my english is very bad, so i try to ask you something about my problem.
Yesterday i found something about USBeXtreme and HDadvance and i read it carefully.
Now i have this "tool" (i found it on the net) but i have some problems.
One file size is @ 33,7MB the other one @ 622MB and the last one @ 632MB.
I burn all 3 versions on a CD ... put it in my PS2 SLIM and start ... all OK, but than cames a "RED" screen, and the PS2 tell me, i have to put a PS or PS2 bootable Disc in.
And thats all!
Can somebody helps me with this problem, i will test it, than i have a lot of new games, that im going to backup.

I have a 250GB extern HDD on USB. There are still 4 partitions ... one of them, i will take for PS2.

So now help me pls.
Which one (file) is the right one, and how i have to do it?

You get that red screen because PS2 does not boot burned media. You need a mod chip or a swap disc like SwapMagic to play a burned CD. I do not know if v16 is out yet... and I don't know if SwapMagic will support it. Whats the SCPH number?

USBExtreme is the program that will work on your slim PS2. HDAdvance is for IDE hard drives.

Oops I meant "... SwapMagic to play a burned CD". Sorry about that. I don't know if SwapMagic supports your PS2 version. I dont really have much experience with it.

Once you get USBExtreme working you should be able to plug the USB hard drive in the PS2 and it should detect it. By your SCPH No. I think you have a v14 PS2.

In my opinion, it might just be easier to buy USBExtreme.

But if i buy USBExtreme, i will have the same problem. Or not?

I need SwapMagic .. to test it .. than i will see, how to handel it.

Which method can i use, to play my backups from a HDD without USBExtreme & SwapMagic?

If you buy USBExtreme you will not get that red screen that says insert a PS2 or PS2 disc. It will just boot and do not need to do anything special. http://www.usbextreme.com for more information on that.

If you get SwapMagic you need either Magic Switch or a flip top cover for the slim PS2. The Magic Switch are pieces of plastic that you put in your PS2 to hold down the CD detect switches and keep the lid open so you can swap the game. With the flip top cover you just flip open the cover and swap the disc. You can get more information here http://www.swapmagic3.com

SwaP magic 3.6 at iHackPS2.org for 20$ download USB advance/USB Extreme at SKSAPPS.com amd burn to aa CD and boot up with SWAP MAGIC. But USB Advance boot s only 5% of games so if the game dont work then burn to a DVD/CD and boot it with Swap Magic.
