Help Usbadvence
Help Usbadvence –

I have a PS2 Slim
I installed FMCB with Usbadvence
It worked and I installed Medal of honor frontline (using official PS2 disk) ul files on my hard drive.(It was a test because my PS2 couldn't read the game)
worked 100% fine without patching it to PAL/NTSC or fixing the DNAS/IOPR
but when I did the same thing with Jak 2/ROCKBAND it didnt work. Help
I found a guide on fixing DNAS/IOPR http://bum17.w.interia.pl/tutorial.htm but can't understand

Rock Band is a DVD9 game, meaning it's a dual-layer disc. As far as I know, USBAdvance is not compatible with any dual-layer games. As for Jak 2, I don't know if it's single or dual layer, so I can't tell you if it'll work or not.

No. USBUtil is just another installer.
It is a very good one, far better than all the others, but the end result of installing a specific iso/disc should be the same no matter which installer you use. So the choice of installer will not affect the compatibility of the game.
The reason for choosing USBUtil is that it is more flexible than most other installers, as most of them are restricted to working only with USB memory sticks or only with USB HDDs. But USBUtil can create and maintain USBAdvance compatible file sets on any media (even non-USB media), which is also great for backup purposes. USBUtil also supports operations that most other installers lack, such as extracting an original iso from the file sets installed for USBAdvance. Finally and perhaps most important, USBUtil is a recent project still 'alive', unlike the other installers which must be considered dead and frozen projects.
