Wire of laser won't come out!!

The laser is connected with two wires, one with a flat ribbon and one with a connector, the flat ribbon won 't come out, how can i get it out??

Use a Long Nose Pliers Grab It at the Wite area, TAKE CARE WHEN PULLING IT OUT

Yes make sure you clamp tightly else you slip and damage the ribbon - also make sure you only grab on the white part.

I use long but flat knosed pliers and gently rock the cable out - i.e. see-saw it out...

Does anyone have any tips for removing the ribbons on the left side of the mobo without breaking the clips?
