I would very much advice PSOne Classics on PS3 for the games that are available. I have PS1,PS2,PS3 and epsxe is installed on my laptop.

I don't use my PS1 because my PS2,PS3 and my PC are connected to my TV at the same time so there is no place for it.

For the games which are available on PS3 as PSOne classics, i definitely choose them. using DS3 and being able to create as many memory cards as you can are definitely advantages. Also HDMI surely beats any kind of analog connection.

If the game is not available as PSOne classics, i use my PC. I have a PS to USB convertor so i use my old Dual Shock. Epsxe is great and enhances graphics in most games. For some reason i couldn't use my DS3 on my PC. The driver didn't accept my bluetooth device.

Even the graphics are better in epsxe, waiting the PC to be opened up and not being able to use my wireless dual shock 3 are the biggest disadvantages.

I have a fat, chipped PS2 that I used to use for playing PS1 games. Got a high quality SCART cable and used to game on a 26" HDTV with no problems at all... games looked just as good on that as they did on my old 28" CRT TV.

That console will likely be going upstairs into the bedroom now.

These days I play using my USA and UK fully B/C PS3's. Games look and run great on both of them, and that's going out through HDMI onto a 40" TV. Suikoden 1 and 2 actually looked surprisingly good for their age.

I play them mostly on my PSOne,cuz the real thing is the best!Emulators enhance the graphics, but I don't like this hi-res BS.I like pixelated textures better.

I would play them on my PS2,but it's laser is dead,so I'm stuck with USB sticks and network adapter.By the way,how well does the PS2 enhance the graphics with it's texture mapping (I know what I just said earlier, but this is a little bit different situation)? Is there any obvious difference? (well, besides Tomb Raider)

I also prefer to play my PS1 classics on the old PS1. (SCPH-7501) And I found that on my 40" Toshiba HDTV, it actually looks pretty good via composite cables. A world better looking that my 30" CRT HDTV. Hell, my 40" is the only HDTV that I've seen that can actually handle the PS1 with any clarity.

yeah the PS2/PS3 component cables make the picture quality look way squarish or a lack of pixel smoothness.

i just might pull out the old composite cables. too bad that we don't use scart here in the states.

    I have a PS 7501 and a 5501.

I modded the 7500 mo-bo to run imported(pal) games in colour.

    No modchip, i use this:

I like to use my SONY WEGA 21" to play PS1.
WEGA line has the only and real FLAT crt in the world. The best crt ever.
I´ve entered to tv factory service mode and "touch it" to enhance the image quality.

I enjoy COLIN MC RAE 2.0 (the best rally game ever made) and TOMB RAIDER, SYPHON FILTER, MEDAL OF HONOR, etc.

Anyway i enjoy to play CRASH TEAM RACING in my PSP GOD OF WAR EDITION 5.50 GEN-D3

But (i dont know why) i feel some extrange pleasure playing NEED FOR SPEED III HOT PURSUIT COLLECTOR`S EDITION in my PS3 USA 80GB BC.

Never tried PS1 in an HDtv, but when i use PS2 to play PS1 i use ORIGINAL SONY COMPONENT CABLE connected to WEGAtv (some games look great, others need the composite cable to look good)
I have an original Sony PSP component cable too, but i never use it, cause CRT doesnt run progressive and HDtv does not look so good to me.

I hope the new generation PLASMA TVs come soon, that would be the best way to display games in HD, anyway ill go for a new Samsung LED HD soon.

Finally, when i want a complete PS experience, i just use my MDRV700 to play SILENT HILL, RESIDENT EVIL 2 or ALIEN RESURRECTION

I still enjoy playing my PS1 games with my 7501 unit. I need to feel that old school feeling.
