New to PS modding and want to mod my original Playstation SCPH 5501.
I would like a chip that can play all the games.
What chip should I get and maybe does anyone have one that I could buy or trade for?
I have soldering skills so that isn't an issue.

Just get a stealth mod chip compatible with your playstation model.
Make sure it can play ff8 and gameday 2001 though.

Most people use the stealth mod these days. I have one in my 7502. Saves the need for patching.

I am also interested in modding my PSX, and have a bunch of blank 12C508A chips that I'd like to flash and use (These are the same chips used in the 'stealth' mods...)

Anybody know a location for the code needed to flash?
